For years, I was showing up—but not as myself.
I had a curated version of me I performed to keep the peace.
To avoid conflict.
To make other people comfortable.
But the more I shape-shifted…
the more I felt like a stranger in my own skin.
And I didn’t know it then, but what I was really experiencing was misalignment.
🌿 What Alignment Actually Means
Alignment isn’t about having it all together.
It’s not some “perfect version” of life with color-coded habits and a five-year plan.
Alignment is when your external life matches your internal truth.
When your work, your schedule, your friendships, your decisions—
all feel like they’re moving in the same direction as your soul.
When you’re aligned, you feel clear. Steady. Energized.
When you’re not?
You feel numb, drained, resentful… and you don’t know why.
🧠 Why Misalignment Hurts (According to Science)
Psychologists call this internal tension cognitive dissonance—the stress we feel when we’re living in contradiction with what we know to be true.
Your body knows when you’re faking it.
Your nervous system knows when you're self-abandoning.
Your energy knows when your life doesn't fit.
And over time, this misalignment shows up as:

They're simple. But they’re also powerful.
Take a breath. Be honest. You don’t have to fix anything right now—just notice.

What does my ideal day feel like—and how far is that from today?

If I could shift just one thing this week to feel more like me, what would it be?
Let your answers be messy.
Let them surprise you.
This isn’t about shame.
This is about honesty.

Even now, as I build a life and business that feel aligned with who I really am…
I still drift.
Life gets loud.
Seasons shift.
Priorities evolve.
Alignment isn’t a destination. It’s a practice.
And the more you pause to ask,
“Does this still fit me?”
The easier it becomes to live like the version of you who’s fully home in her body and her truth.
