Your Energy Doesn’t Lie: How Misalignment Shows Up in Your Body, Mood, and Habits

🌡 How Misalignment Shows Up in Your Body, Mood, and Habits

Your body is speaking. The question is—will you listen?

For a long time, I thought I had to push through.

Push through the brain fog.
Push through the tight chest.
Push through the anxiety, fatigue, and those weird spirals that made no sense on paper.

Because that’s what we’re taught, right?

“Be strong.”
“Keep swimming.”
“Don’t make it about you.”

But here’s what I’ve learned the hard way:

Misalignment doesn’t whisper forever.
If you keep ignoring it… eventually, it screams.

💥 Your Energy Doesn’t Lie

You’ve felt it before, haven’t you?

You walk into a room and something feels… off.
You talk to someone and feel drained—even though nothing “happened.”
You procrastinate the things you used to love and can’t explain why.

That’s not you being dramatic.
That’s your system being wise.

According to research from the HeartMath Institute, your heart generates an electromagnetic field that can be measured up to 3 feet outside your body.

That means:

  • You’re constantly broadcasting energy

  • You’re constantly receiving it

  • And your body knows what’s true before your brain does

So when something feels misaligned?

It usually is.

💔 My Story: When I Finally Started Listening

Twelve years ago, I had my gallbladder removed.
I was told it would solve everything.

But what followed were five years of physical pain, emotional numbness, and a fog I couldn’t shake.
Meals made me sick.
Daily life drained me.
I felt broken—but kept pushing forward because… that’s what I thought I was supposed to do.

Until one day, my body said: No more.

So I slowed down.
I researched.
I asked questions doctors didn’t ask me.
I changed what I ate. What I thought. What I believed about healing.

And slowly, I came back to life.

Not just symptom-free… but soul-present.
More grounded.
More alive.
More me.

🧠 The Psychology of Misalignment

Your nervous system is hardwired to detect danger or disharmony long before you “understand” what’s wrong.

Misalignment doesn’t always show up as big drama.
Sometimes, it looks like:

  • Constant fatigue—even after sleeping

  • Anxiety that doesn’t match your life

  • Irritability with people you love

  • Resistance to things you used to enjoy

  • Gut issues, headaches, shallow breathing, tension in your chest

These aren’t flukes.
They’re flags.

And the sooner you pause to notice them, the easier it becomes to return to what’s true.

🌀 Realignment Isn’t a Trend—It’s a Lifestyle

These days, I move through life differently.

I no longer treat my body like a machine.
I don’t chase energy—I protect it.

That means I check in constantly:

  • How did that conversation make me feel?

  • Did that meal energize or drain me?

  • Was that a “yes” from my body—or from fear of disappointing someone?

  • Am I feeling tired because I under-slept… or overextended?

And here’s what I’ve realized:

Protecting your energy is a form of sacred self-respect.
Listening to your body is never selfish. It’s a matter of survival and sovereignty at the same time.

🧘♀️ Try This Today

Ask yourself:

“Where does my body feel heavy right now—and what am I pretending doesn’t affect me?”

Then, do one of two things:

✨ Say no to something that drains you
✨ Say yes to something that nourishes you

Even if it’s small.
Even if no one notices but you.

💬 Let’s Normalize This

Has your body ever “called you out” before your mind could catch up?

I’d love to hear your story.
DM me at @lovethyselfies or drop a comment on today’s post.

Let’s make it normal to say:
“I don’t feel like myself right now. And that matters.”

Because feeling off isn’t weakness.
It’s wisdom.
And you, my love, are allowed to trust it.

With you,
xo
